Happy Monks teach Ascension - a meditation technique for stress reduction and mental and physical well-being. It is a 'modern meditation' for the modern world.
How Does Meditation Work? Meditation is being recognized as one of the most effective ways for people to reduce stress and improve their physical and mental well-being.
When you meditate you naturally become more present. You move beyond the busyness and 'chatter' of the mind which allows you to experience more clarity, focus and peace of mind. And, as you relax your mind, you also relax your body. which is why meditation can also improve one's health and vitality tremendously. Meditation releases stress from the nervous system.
When a person feels better mentally and physically they are more engaged in their work life; they have a more positive attitude; they are more efficient; they are team players, and they can enjoy a better quality of life.
A unique meditation technique Ascension can be practiced not only with your eyes closed, but also with your eyes open - including at work! Meaning - it is a tool to help the individual maintain focus; clarity and a healthy, positive atttiude throughout their entire day.
Ascension is not difficult to learn. All that is required is the desire. It does not require a faith or involve a belief system. It is a tool for stress reduction, and mental and physical well-being.

Increases Serotonin Levels Serotonin production influences our mood and behaviour. Low levels of serotonin are directly related to depression, obesity, insomnia and headaches.
Creates ‘Whole Brain’ Functioning
Meditation balances the left and right hemispheres of the brain and slows down the brain waves. This can increase one’s learning ability, mental clarity and creativity.
